The FM Early-Warning Receiver looks and functions like an ordinary alarm clock radio.

What constitutes the difference?

• The EW-Receiver alerts everyone - no matter the current status of the receiver: ON/OFF or in wake-up mode
• The receiver is equipped with two FM radio tuners:
• One tuner handles the FM radio/alarm-clock, with all normal features.
• The second tuner receives emergency alert signals only.

In case of a warning transmitted by the authorities, an alert signal is broadcast and the normal programme is interrupted. A loud audio tone and large flashing display provides the warning alert. The receiver display shows real-time text information from the authorities concerning the nature of the alert.

The Radio is equipped with a rechargeable backup battery that will power the receiver during power loss for at least 48 hours. The receiver response to signals sent over a nation-wide network of sub-carrier transmissions linked to standard FM broadcast stations. The alert signals can be focused ranging from a town, city, county, state or the whole country.
